Ronald Gauthier - Community Relations and Business Partnerships Lead

Ron immigrated from Canada in 1977 becoming a proud patriot and naturalized citizen. Ron's strong appreciation for our nation's military and the veteran community stems from spending his childhood and young adult years in a country without the freedoms we are so lucky to have here in the US.

Ron earned his Masters Degree from Central Michigan University while also completing a 30-year career as a top-performing sales representative with Sherwin Williams.

Providing support to the military and veteran community has been his number one priority since retirement. In his eyes, the opportunities and lifestyle our great country provided him could never be repaid in full. As a civilian who’s never served, Ron evaluated all the charities available and came to one conclusion. “Without veterans who served and protected our freedoms, we wouldn’t have charities like supporting groups of people in need. This made volunteering for Reunite the Fight a very simple decision.

Ron’s work in bridging gaps for the organization and introducing businesses to Reunite the Fights mission while gaining support has been instrumental in providing support to veterans struggling with PTSD, survivors guilt, and depression.

Dave Thompson - Program Administrator

From the battlefield to the boardroom, Dave has built a career on discipline, leadership, and a deep commitment to service. A former Infantryman Marine with 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines, he transitioned from military life to a 15-year tenure at Google as a program manager, where he’s mastered the art of keeping complex operations running smoothly.

But his dedication to service didn’t stop there. As the Program Administrator for Reunite the Fight (RTF)—an organization he co-founded with Scott and fellow Marines—Dave continues to serve the veteran community, ensuring that the bonds forged in uniform remain unbreakable long after the uniforms come off. While his work at RTF is a passion project, it’s a mission he takes just as seriously as any deployment.

Despite a resume packed with impressive titles, the ones he values most are Father and Husband—roles that remind him every day that the greatest victories are found at home and not abroad.

Matt Catron - Co-founder / Vice President

Matt Catron was born in West Virginia, where he spent his childhood days as a boy in the woods hunting, fishing, and riding horses. After being discharged, he bought a farm in East Tennessee, where he still lives today.

After attending a few years in college, he decided college wasn’t for him and joined the Marine Corps in March 2001. Matt deployed to Iraq in 2004 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, where his PTSD began shortly after.

Matt was the messenger of bad news in 2017. A fellow battle buddy and Navy Corpsman he and Founder Scott Gatto served with had taken his own life. It was at this point that Matt and Scott realized something had to be done. Reunite the Fight was founded in 2017 while gaining its 501c3 status in June. Matt has enjoyed being involved, sharing his life passions with veterans, while volunteering his time to help veterans struggling with mental and physical disabilities.

Matt is most passionate about bear hunting and the challenges it presents one in the wild. He has enjoyed sharing this passion with veterans each year across several different states since the organization originated.

His favorite part of being involved is how this organization has helped him with his own personal struggles with PTSD while helping other veterans with similar struggles.

Matt Bosch - Director of Veterans Experience

Matt was born in Whittier CA, and spent his childhood years in Mira Loma, CA.   He began his service with the United States Navy at the age of 19 in April of 2003 as a Sea Bee.  During his service and after multiple deployments Matt’s biggest take away was the Navy’s core values “Honor, Courage and Commitment” which he has translated into everything he has done since in his life. After being discharged in 2014 Matt obtained his current profession as an Oil Field / Well Worker and supervisor.

Matt first connected with Reunite the Fight (RTF) in the summer of 2021.  He had been out of the service for a good length of time and just couldn’t keep himself together. During one of those much darker times, his wife reached out to the founder Scott Gatto and got the two of them connected.  Scott wasted no time helping a fellow veteran in need.   Just a few weeks later he had Matt on a flight to join an RTF retreat in Florida. Matt embraced the opportunity while immersing himself into the retreat and becoming vulnerable with veterans like himself.

What Matt loves most about this organization is once you become part of this group, you become part of a family.  A family that is always there to answer your calls, whether it’s because you’re in a dark place and you need a little guidance, or to just chat with a fellow like-minded person. For that reason, it was very easy for Matt to become an ambassador and guest speaker for RTF after his healing journey began. Matt now strives to put all veterans questioning the process at ease by utilizing his own experience as a voice to anyone who needs the confidence boost, he also needed at one point in the journey.

Matt’s joy in life is watching all his kids partake in all their crazy adventures through sports, school, and art performances. His passion to go shooting and try new or exciting things has never ceased, yet all these activities have become much easier to do with a smile on his face since becoming involved with RTF.  In Matts own words, “any veteran that we help, will be apart of a life changing experience while gaining a team of fellow veterans that are willing to go the extra mile when it comes to getting you all the help you need”.

Arik Orosz - VA Home Loan & Lending Expert

Arik is the proud owner of the Reduced Fee Mortgage Team, powered by eMortgage Capital. Licensed in 47 states, they collaborate with 154 lenders to ensure veterans receive the best rates on VA loans and refinances, unlike many VA lenders who offer only a single rate option.

Since 2020, I’ve been honored to partner with Reunite The Fight, while helping hundreds of veterans obtain better rates than they would have elsewhere while contributing both financially and personally. Coming from a military family with roots dating back to WWII, and a parent who is a 100% disabled Marine veteran, supporting veterans is deeply personal to me. Your sacrifices have shaped our lives in ways we can never fully repay. It’s my mission to give back meaningfully, and I’m committed to being a lifelong partner of RTF while continuing to support veterans in every way I can.

Scott Gatto - CEO and Founder

Scott Gatto was born in Mount Clemens, Michigan, and grew up in Warren, Michigan, alongside his three siblings and parents. During his childhood, he was actively involved in playing various sports, helping him discover his natural leadership abilities and his commitment to putting his team first. After completing high school, Scott enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and he reported to 3rd Marine Division on September 11th, just two hours before the tragic attacks occurred. His time in the Marines became demanding as he dedicated nearly a decade of his life to serving the country as a skilled and highly trained infantry Marine.

Throughout his military career, Scott Gatto was frequently recognized for his exceptional ability to develop Marines into leaders and enhance their skills. Over half of his career was spent in foreign countries, where he worked to forge and maintain strong relationships with foreign leaders. Scott and his unit conducted hundreds of combat missions, demonstrating bravery and commitment.

During the intense 2nd Battle of Fallujah in Iraq, Scott was one of only nine Marines from his 41-member platoon to survive. Tragically, five of these survivors were critically wounded in the first two days of the battle and were transported to Bethesda, Maryland, for treatment. Scott's unwavering dedication to his country, his leadership, and his outstanding performance both on and off the battlefield earned him high praise and numerous awards for valor.
